Tesla plans to wind down Cybertruck production for Cybercabs

Tesla will wind down Cybertruck production at its Gigafactory Texas around mid-2027, Elon Musk said, freeing capacity for increased production of the company’s Cybercab robotaxi. The decision follows years of weak sales, production delays, repeated recalls and steep price increases for the polarizing electric pickup, which launched in 2023 and sold 70,000 units over three years.
