Omani Co-Pilot Stabs Captain, Tries to Crash FlyDubai Flight to Israel

An Omani co-pilot aboard FlyDubai Flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv stabbed the Indian captain with a crash axe and attempted to seize control of the aircraft on September 30. Passengers and off-duty crew subdued the attacker and landed it safely in Saudi Arabia as the plane plunged 17,000 feet. Israeli PM Netanyahu ordered a security review of foreign flights to Israel and said the co-pilot had undergone 'Islamist radical indoctrination,' though investigations continue.
